Blavatsky's root races — seven successive humanities (Polarian through future races), with Lemurians and Atlanteans as the third and fourth — are doctrine from 'The Secret Doctrine' (1888), influential far beyond Theosophy: the scheme structured a century of lost-continent lore and, through Ariosophist distortion (List, Lanz von Liebenfels — documented lineage), contributed vocabulary to race mysticism's darkest applications.
