"There were giants in the earth in those days." The verse the giant-bone stories all cite.

Genesis 6:4 and the Book of Enoch describe the sons of God fathering giants on human women; Enoch names the Watchers and the forbidden arts they taught. Second Temple Judaism took it seriously; the canonical process mostly excluded it. The passage is the scriptural anchor for the giants lore, the fallen-angel reading of ancient astronauts, and the Anunnaki parallel (divine beings, human wives, hybrid offspring).
