Operation Midnight Climax (MKULTRA subprojects, 1955-65): CIA-run safe houses in San Francisco and New York where unwitting men were dosed with LSD by sex workers on agency payroll and observed through one-way glass — documented in the Church-era record and George White's own diaries ('Where else could a red-blooded American boy lie, kill, cheat... with the sanction of the all-highest?' — his actual retirement letter).
