The Gehlen Organization
SUMMARY
Hitler's eastern intelligence chief, rehired with his network intact. He became West Germany's spy service.
FULL DOSSIER
The Gehlen Organization: Reinhard Gehlen, Hitler's Foreign Armies East intelligence chief, was recruited by the US Army (1946) with his network — including documented war criminals (Barbie's escape line adjacency, six Einsatzgruppen veterans identified in released files) — and became West Germany's BND (1956) with Gehlen as president until 1968. Declassified CIA name files (the 2000s IWG releases) document the relationship and its Soviet penetration (Felfe). The node is Paperclip's intelligence twin: the enemy apparatus hired whole, with receipts.
