Dead Internet Theory
SUMMARY
Most of what you read online, the theory claims, is machines performing for machines. You may be the last one here.
FULL DOSSIER
It began as forum melancholy — 'the internet feels empty' — and hardened into a checklist: bot traffic passing fifty percent of the total, engagement farms, comment sections that repeat like wallpaper, and now language models filling the feed with text no human wrote for no human to read. The theory's strong form (it all died in 2016) is unfalsifiable. The weak form is just analytics. You may be the control group.
