The black triangle: silent, vast, hovering. Seen by thousands; owned by no one.

The designation is folklore (no budget line has ever surfaced) but the sighting pattern is stable across decades: an enormous silent triangle, lights at the vertices, moving slowly at low altitude — Hudson Valley 1983, Belgium 1989-90, Phoenix 1997, Illinois 2000 (five police officers in four towns). The competing theories define the file: a black-project platform (connecting Aurora and the antigravity literature) or the phenomenon itself in a new shape. The NIDS analysis of triangle reports concluded, unhelpfully for everyone, that open, unaccountable flying over cities fit neither theory well.
