Picture lying in a darkened hospital room, half-drugged, unable to move much, and from a speaker near your head a single recorded sentence plays. Then it plays again. And again. For sixteen hours. That was the technique Dr. Donald Ewen Cameron named PSYCHIC DRIVING, and it is DOCUMENTED — not a campfire story — as a real method used in his CIA-linked work at the Allan Memorial Institute in Montreal. Here's the theory behind it. Cameron believed the human mind could be reprogrammed like a machine.
