Mothman

FILE DATE 1966

STATUS NEVER CLOSED
SUMMARY
Red eyes over Point Pleasant for a year — until the bridge fell, and it left.
FULL DOSSIER
Thirteen months of red-eyed sightings around Point Pleasant, logged by police, ending the night the Silver Bridge dropped forty-six people into the Ohio River. Keel's files added the garnish that made it canon: Men in Black asking about things not yet public, phone calls of static and breathing, and the conclusion that whatever it was, it wasn't warning — it was watching. Chernobyl and Fukushima produced, on cue, their own retroactive sightings.
