Hangar 18

FILE DATE 1947
CROSS-REFS 02
STATUS NEVER CLOSED
SUMMARY
Wright-Patterson's blue room, where the Roswell cargo allegedly went.
FULL DOSSIER
Hangar 18: the specific lore address at Wright-Patterson where Roswell wreckage and bodies are said to be stored — popularized by the 1980 film of that name and decades of testimony-adjacent claims about a refrigerated "Blue Room." Documented: debris from Roswell really was flown to Wright Field in July 1947 (contemporaneous Army messages), the base housed Projects Sign through Blue Book, and Senator Barry Goldwater stated on the record that Curtis LeMay angrily refused him access to the Blue Room. Not documented: the hangar’s numbered existence as described, or anything inside. One true shipment plus one senator’s anecdote, compounding interest since 1947.
