Strassman's University of New Mexico study was legal, funded, and clinical: sixty volunteers, four hundred doses, and session reports that converged on the same impossible waiting room — geometric, occupied, and expecting them. He reached for the pineal gland to explain it and founded a folklore. The entities remain the hard problem: hallucinations aren't supposed to have a consistent staff.
