Contrails dissipate, the theory insists — these linger, spread, and dim the sky on schedule.

Contrail physics explains persistence: humidity, altitude, temperature. What it doesn't explain away is the paper trail the believers keep laminated — Operation Popeye's rain over Vietnam, LAC's zinc cadmium sulfide sprayed over US cities, the UK's Porton Down trials, and now solar-geoengineering budgets at real universities. The sky-writing may be ice. The precedent of spraying first and disclosing decades later is documented government practice.
