Babylon
SUMMARY
The mother of mysteries. Its rites, believers claim, never ended — only rebranded.
FULL DOSSIER
Babylon inherited Sumer's temple science and built the Near East's great astronomical archive (the diaries run seven centuries). In Revelation, 'Mystery Babylon' became the code name for corrupt world power, and every generation since has renamed her. The node links Sumer's institutions to the mystery-school lineage and to the recurring theory that Babylonian rites persist inside modern institutions — a claim (Hislop's 'The Two Babylons,' 1853) built on now-discredited scholarship.
