The yuga system (Satya through Kali, in the Puranas: a 4.32-million-year cycle) is documented doctrine; the conspiracy-adjacent version follows Sri Yukteswar's 'The Holy Science' (1894), which compressed the cycle to 24,000 years tied to precession and placed us in ascending Dwapara — a reading popular in alternative-history circles (and, documented oddity, in the daily life of Apple's Steve Jobs, who kept Yogananda's lineage close).
