The pineal gland: Descartes' 'seat of the soul,' melatonin factory, and — documented — a tissue that calcifies with age, visible on X-rays. The lore stack: fluoride accumulates in the pineal (one real study, Luke 2001, found fluoride in pineal calcifications; effect on function unestablished), calcification 'blocks the third eye,' and decalcification protocols restore sight. Rick Strassman's DMT research ('The Spirit Molecule,' 2000) speculated the pineal produces DMT; trace pineal DMT was later found in rodents. A genuine gland carrying a cathedral of extrapolation.
