Phil Schneider

Phil Schneider lectured in the 1990s claiming he was a government geologist who survived a 1979 firefight with aliens beneath Dulce, New Mexico, while building deep underground bases. Documented: his lectures survive on tape; his father was a Navy officer; he was found dead in 1996, ruled suicide, which the lore reads otherwise. Not documented: any employment record, credential, or physical evidence supporting the story. Schneider is the archetype of the unfalsifiable whistleblower — and the primary source for most DUMB lore upstream.
