The Gold Train
SUMMARY
Armored cars into a Silesian tunnel, sealed by retreat. Radar flickers; excavations keep finding rock.
FULL DOSSIER
The Wałbrzych 'gold train' (2015): two searchers claimed ground-penetrating radar showed an armored train in a buried spur of Project Riese's tunnel complex (the Riese excavations themselves are real and vast); the 2016 dig found no train. Documented context keeping the legend alive: trains of looted goods did leave Breslau in 1945, Riese's purpose remains partly undocumented, and regional recoveries (the 2019 Michelin-map deposits) occasionally pay off. The node files the specific claim's failure inside the real geography that generated it.
