LAM
SUMMARY
Crowley drew the entity he contacted. It has a gray face and large black eyes.
FULL DOSSIER
A drawing Crowley made in 1918 during the 'Amalantrah Working' in New York: a hairless, huge-headed entity he titled Lam. After UFO culture arrived in the 1950s, occultists noticed it resembled a 'grey' three decades early, and Kenneth Grant built a whole current around Lam as an extraterrestrial or trans-dimensional contact. Documented: the drawing exists and was exhibited in 1919. The rest is the map's cleanest example of retroactive pattern-matching — an image acquiring meaning from a future it could not have known. Unless, says the lore, it could.
