Spaceship Moon
SUMMARY
Apollo set it ringing like a bell for hours. Two Soviet academics proposed the obvious heresy: it's hollow.
FULL DOSSIER
The anomalies are real even where the conclusion isn't: the Moon's mean density (3.34 vs Earth's 5.5), the Apollo seismic experiments' hour-long reverberations, mascons (mass concentrations) distributed unlike any homogeneous body, and an origin story (giant impact) still under active revision. Vasin and Shcherbakov's 1970 proposal — an artificial hull steered into orbit — was published, notably, in a Soviet state magazine. Mainstream lunar science answers each point individually. The file endures because the Moon is genuinely strange: the same apparent size as the Sun from the one planet with observers. Coincidence has to work hard here.
