A sealed chamber beneath the Sphinx's paw, holding the memory of Atlantis.

Edgar Cayce's readings (1930s) described a chamber of Atlantean records beneath the Sphinx, to be found 'when the time comes.' Seismic surveys in the 1990s (Schor expeditions) did detect cavities under the Sphinx enclosure; Egypt's antiquities authority has not permitted excavation, which keeps the story alive.
