Ghost Rockets
SUMMARY
Hundreds of projectiles over Scandinavia, diving into lakes. Recovered: nothing.
FULL DOSSIER
Summer 1946: over two thousand reports of cigar-shaped projectiles across Scandinavia, many diving into lakes. Sweden classified sightings, dragged Lake Kölmjärv for two weeks, and found nothing. Declassified USAFE Top Secret document 14 (1948) records the assessment that some investigators considered the objects real and of unknown origin. The obvious answer — Soviet tests of captured V-2s — collapsed when trajectories and Soviet records didn't cooperate. They connect Roswell's summer to Europe's, and lake-diving objects to the USO file.
