You've probably felt it, that sense in the last few years that something shifted. That a subject once reserved for late-night radio and tabloid covers suddenly had generals, senators, and career intelligence officers speaking it out loud, on the record. That shift has a name. People call it Disclosure. And here's the thing: separating what actually happened from what people hoped happened is the whole game. So let's document what's real. On December 16, 2017, The New York Times published a story revealing that the Pentagon had run a secret UAP study program, and it released Navy footage alongside it. That was the crack in the dam. The reporters named the program AATIP, the next stop on our map, and quoted its former head, Luis Elizondo, who'd resigned in protest over what he felt was official indifference. Then in 2022, the Department of Defense established a permanent office to run this down: the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, or AARO. Congress began mandating annual reports.
