Die Glocke
SUMMARY
The Bell: a humming device that killed its scientists, then vanished west with its general.
FULL DOSSIER
The Bell enters the record through one source: Igor Witkowski's interviews with an alleged transcript of SS officer Jakob Sporrenberg's interrogation — bell-shaped device, counter-rotating cylinders, violet glow, dead scientists, the 'Henge' test rig at Ludwikowice (a real structure, prosaically a fly-ash plant frame). Nick Cook's 'The Hunt for Zero Point' carried it to English. SS General Hans Kammler, who controlled the Reich's secret programs and vanished without confirmed death in 1945, is the story's load-bearing absence. Unverifiable end to end — and the archive's favorite explanation for Kecksburg's acorn.
